TechnoMomma Talks about Local Mobile Marketing

I am TechnoMomma and this is my first blog. I have thought about what I should write about. What would make me stop and read, such as, what really captures my attention? What really works? What would make you pay attention to my message and me so that I can help you—a real win/win deal?

The story I tell in my history is true—it is what led me to this particular business. I pulled out my smart phone, looked for something and the rest, as they say, is history.

After that discovery I have been in pursuit of what really works: how small business could benefit from local mobile traffic. Is it true 80% of small business customers come from within 5 miles of their business? If this is true, then why aren’t all small businesses doing great in this economy? Could I figure out what is necessary to drive that traffic to those business? I decided to find out. People who know me, know that when I want to know something, I pursue it with everything I have.

I have been very busy learning all that I can about local mobile marketing. I found the basics on the web in a few classes and then began to do more and more research. My first customer was me. I did all things necessary to get TechnoMomma listed in her own local market. This was very frustrating. I thought it would be instant, but it took between two and four weeks to get on the first page of Google, up to five weeks to get in the local mobile market. I am still not on the organic listing for a number of keywords. I will keep working at this the mobile SEO.

I did this using a variety of keywords, edging TechnoMomma slowly but steadily up. I learned that to stay at the top, the effort has to be continual. I learned the hard way that you will slip if you don’t pay attention and instead only get 9% or less of the responses you want to be at the top. Having the top spot will get you 42 % of the leads and really that is what maintenance is all about. After the set up and you get that blast of customers… you want to keep them coming.

You maybe wondering why would I tell you my process and how easy all of this is when what I want to do is to sell you a service that does all this for you? Think about it: why use your valuable time doing this when I can? And now that I’ve done it, I’ll just get faster and better. It is a large effort to keep up what we will do for you. When you are in the number one spot in your rankings, it has to be maintained to keep that ranking. Hmm… think about that for a moment: do I have the time and knowledge to keep my business at the number one spot on Google and more search engines to keep the flow of traffic to my business at the level I want to be profitable?
